We are a family company – making homes healthier

Insulation Tech NZ are a Levin based family owned business who provide and install insulation for underfloor, ceilings and walls in residential properties, both owner occupied and rentals.

We offer healthy home assessments to check your rental property meets RTA (residential tenancy act) standards.

Insulation is a vital part of keeping your home warmer and dryer for a healthier home.  On our website you can find insulation solutions specific to your requirements.  These include:

• ground moisture barrier insulation
• ceiling and wall insulation
• underfloor insulation

We are fully qualified to Unit Standard NZS4246 with IAONZ.  We cover Wellington to Whanganui and surrounding areas.  We provide a free no obligation assessment and quote.  See the full list of locations we cover.

As registered installers, we can let you know if your home qualifies for the Warmer Kiwi Homes grant, which is up to 100% off the cost of ceiling and underfloor insulation. Contact us now for your no obligation assessment.  (Eligibility criteria and conditions apply. *These criteria were expanded by the NZ government in August 2023).

 What is the installation process?

STEP 1

Book your FREE insulation assessment, where you can find out if you or your home qualifies for the Warmer Kiwi Homes grant.  Or book in our RTA (Residential Tenancies Act) Healthy Homes Assessment – one of the Insulation Tech NZ team will visit your property, check what you need and discuss what insulation you require for your home. You will be provided a report on what is required in your home based on which assessment you have booked.

STEP 2

We will book in a time that works for you. Our insulation installers will install your insulation and/or GMB (Ground Moisture Barrier).  They provide a friendly, professional service you can trust. If you have booked a Healthy Homes Assessment report we will report back to you which areas are compliant and what is not (if any). In this report will be quotes to get your property compliant.

STEP 3

We certify and supply you with a Compliance Certificate for work we have carried out – these certificates are required to meet the HHS (Healthy Homes Standards).

WHY NOT DIY?

Thinking of doing it yourself? It’s important for insulation to be installed correctly in order for it to perform well.

We do not recommend DIY installation, for a number of reasons:

It can be dangerous; wiring can be accidentally stapled or cut, clearances to lighting and other heat sources is critical. Without the correct clearances, your insulation becomes a fire hazard.

Experience & know-how; there are many factors to get the best from your insulation.

It’s a dusty, dirty, difficult task which requires respirators and other safety equipment to be done safely.

*When your insulation is installed by Insulation Tech NZ you receive a Certificate of Compliance, which may be required at such time as selling your property.
